The 4th part of Aprehend Training discusses Assessment-Based Pest Management (APM) for bed bugs and Aprehend strategic barrier placement. This term and concept was introduced by Dr. Dini Miller, 2019 PMP Hall of Fame Inductee and associate professor in the Dept. of Entomology at Virginia Tech. APM involves the assessment of the level of pest infestation which then determines the most suitable treatment protocol. Also, it ensures that you’re using the least amount of product required for effective remediation.
In this video, Dr. Nina Jenkins discusses how to assess low, medium, and high infestations, then details strategic Aprehend barrier placement for each level.
